Emmy-award winning directors Joe and Anthony Russo are making their journey from directors of lively, rule-breaking independent films and TV series to creative leaders of the defining blockbuster franchise of our era.

The Brothers made their Marvel Studios directorial debut with the critically lauded box office blockbuster Captain America: The Winter Soldier. They broke the opening record for an April release and went on to gross more than $713 million worldwide. Their follow-up Captain America: Civil War not only enjoyed the 5th-highest weekend gross in domestic box office history, but also had the highest worldwide gross of 2016, as well as widespread praise from both critics and fans.

The Brothers most recent film, Avengers: Infinity War, achieved the highest opening weekend of all time, surpassing the $1 billion dollar threshold faster than any film before it.

Prior to Marvel, The Russo Brothers began their career at Slamdance, where they premiered their first film Pieces, and soon after went on to direct Welcome To Collinwood, starring George Clooney, William H. Macy, and Sam Rockwell.

The Russo Brothers are also TV comedy sensations thanks to the critical success of Arrested Development, Community, and Happy Endings. They are currently making a return to TV producing, most notably with Hulu’s Warriors.

In addition to TV and their work with Marvel Studios, The Russo Brothers are co-founders of Superconductor, a new agency model that’s breaking down the barriers between clients and creators.
